The journey to Everest Base Camp begins with one of the most unforgettable flights from Kathmandu to the airstrip of Lukla. You’ll walk through several Sherpa settlements, including Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Gorak Shep, before reaching the base of the world’s highest mountain. The entire trail of the EBC Trek is adorned with breathtaking sceneries, ancient monasteries, prosperous villages, chortens, prayer flags, and mani walls.
In the villages of the Everest region, you will encounter the day-to-day lifestyle of the Sherpa tribes and their practices of Tibetan Buddhism. The trek also combines the spiritual experience as you will be visiting the ancient monasteries of Khumjung and Tengboche.
Moreover, this trek also takes you to the world’s most famous viewpoint, Kala Patthar. At an elevation of 5,643 meters, Kala Patthar marks as the highest landmark of the trek. Trips Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a representative from the Ascend Hikes, who will transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant streets of Kathmandu and preparing for the trek.
The drive into the city offers a first glimpse of daily life in Kathmandu. After hotel check-in, the rest of the day is free to relax and recover from the journey.

After an early morning flight from Kathmandu, you’ll land at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. From there, you’ll begin your trek to Phakding, a small village situated alongside the Dudh Koshi River. The trail offers glimpses of picturesque landscapes and Sherpa settlements.
The trail continues along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges and ascending through dense forests. After a challenging climb, you’ll reach Namche Bazaar, a bustling town and the main trading center of the Everest region.
Day in Namche Bazaar This day is set aside for acclimatization. You can explore Namche Bazaar and hike to Everest View Hotel or the Khumjung village to enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and learn about the local traditions. there are every Saturday has a local market; many people bring selling things from the lower part of the solukhumbu where you can test local organic product directly from the down villages.

No previous trekking experience is required. However, a good fitness level, mental preparedness, and endurance are important. Regular cardio exercises such as hiking, cycling, or running a few weeks before the trek are highly recommended.
